Sophisticated Wear Leveling & Bad Block Management ensure that Flash cells are sparingly and equally used in order to prolong life time of the device. Wear Leveling allows the Soc Controller to calculate the remaining P/E counts of each Block through wear leveling algorithm and write-in new data to those Blocks with less erasure frequency. As the Controller is able to evenly control the P/E frequency of each Block, SSD will be able to avoid premature wear and loss due to over P/E to particular Blocks.
